Three months into working as full time courier, I finally realize the reasons behind of having massive shortage of courier in almost every logistic company.
Imagine this: You are spending an hour daily sorting all big bulky parcels and flyers before loading them into your car boot. Each parcel you earn is RM1. You require great stamina to carry 1 full bag of flyer parcels hooking on your elbow while holding two 5 kg of boxes climbing up those nasty, wicked-moisture, and dead rat smelly stairs in the rundown neighborhood. You diligently send all the parcels. But you end up getting a ticket for missing parcel due to buyer's negligence. Since buyer is ALWAYS right, you have to pay for the loss in the end even though the fault is not on you. In the end of the month, you barely achieve a salary close to RM2K. You are getting paid peanuts yet there are false deductions on your account because they can.
The supervisors are such an asshole. Instead of assisting you in matters, they put the blame on you. Of course, I am not going to settle without putting up a fight for myself.
I am tired. Physically. I work hard in the gym to achieve my desired physique and work smart during the day delivering. In the end, you getting accused for the fault you never did. Since I have converted to Part Time now, I think I should start working like a Part Time instead of getting taken advantages of being treated like Full Time Courier.
I am not nice to begin with. Now, I can be a bitch if I need to.
I am really at loss now. What should I do? What work should I do now? Should I even quit? Again? For the umpteenth time? What did I ever do to deserve this? :(
